Privacy Policy

LocalPDF is built to process PDF files directly on your device. Core tools such as merge, split, rotate, annotate, watermark, and image export run locally in the browser or extension and do not upload your PDF documents to LocalPDF servers.

What LocalPDF processes locally

When you use the PDF tools, your files stay in browser memory or in the extension session on your device. LocalPDF does not transmit the contents of your PDFs to our backend to complete standard document operations.

Optional account and billing data

Some Pro features require an optional Google sign-in in the browser extension. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth, and billing is handled through Stripe. If you choose to sign in or subscribe, we and our service providers may process limited account and billing information such as your email address, subscription status, Stripe customer ID, and payment metadata needed to manage your plan.

Data we do not sell

LocalPDF does not sell your personal information. We do not use your PDF contents for advertising, model training, or document analytics.

Service providers

We rely on Supabase for authentication and subscription storage, and on Stripe for checkout, billing, and webhook processing. Those providers process the information necessary to deliver their parts of the service under their own terms and privacy policies.

Security

We aim to minimize risk by keeping document processing local and by limiting backend data to account and billing records. No system is perfectly secure, but LocalPDF is designed to avoid sending document contents to the backend in the first place.

Your choices

You can use the free local tools without signing in. If you no longer want an account-based experience, you can sign out of the extension and request account-related support at support@espoodev.fi.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
